Therapeutic Crisis Intervention
The Intervention Team was founded by professionals in the mental health and criminal justice fields. We have seen first hand the long-lasting effects and devastation addiction can have on the families, friends, and the addict.
As professionals, when looking at the problem we have found our skills and talents can be equally utilized in helping families and their loved ones find help before it is too late. At the end of the day, we too would like to see your family as a whole, rather than ripped apart and ravished by this disease.
The "intervention" is in many ways the most important and crucial part of the recovery process. The method of and overall experience of the intervention can ultimately determine whether or not an individual enters treatment. It determines whether or not your loved one will get that opportunity to experience life, in all its ups and down, sober and with purpose. Our staff believes every situation is a crisis because at anytime the addiction can result in an overdose, loss of relationships and jobs, permanent health consequences, life altering events such as prison time, or death. We also believe therapy starts not at the alcohol and drug rehab, but with the substance abuse intervention. Healing begins with The Intervention Team. We provide our own unique method of therapeutic crisis intervention. Our job is to build the family’s intervention team in such a way as to provide a therapeutic foundation for the loved one and the family while emphasizing the severity of the situation.
Are all interventionists the same?
No, all interventionists are not the same and neither are the techniques. It is important to research the interventionist and their method.
Can I do the intervention on my own?
Yes, you can. However, without a properly trained interventionist, the intervention can actually do more harm than good. Our staff takes the necessary time to adequately evaluate your situation to determine the appropriate method of intervention. We do not believe one method of intervention fits everyone; we will develop an intervention plan based on the latest literature in the field and on your individual situation. Our ultimate goal is to provide a building block for the entire family to begin the healing process.
