Why Choose The Intervention Team?

We will research & find the best accommodating facility. Just like your family is not like the family next to you, neither are treatment facilities. We will find one that correlates to the loved one belief system and will in our professional opinion hold the highest success rate for him or her.

We utilize the upmost care in interacting with the family and gathering all the necessary information needed for the intervention. Whether it is an intervention for a meth addict or a gambling addiction, The Intervention Team will never judge you or your family, but rather will provide the kind of understanding and genuineness the family needs.

The pre-intervention educates & ensures everyone involved what to expect throughout the intervention & afterwards. There is nothing like preparation. Since there is usually one enabler, it is essential the family understands their loved one’s addiction and what to expect while in treatment. If the family members understand various processes of withdrawals and treatment, they will be better prepared to address any concerns their loved one may have.

The intervention will consist of TWO highly trained professionals. They will conduct the intervention & escort the loved one to the treatment facility. This is also part of The Intervention Team’s unique method known as the Dualistic Approach, in which two interventionists are the norm and not the exception.

A comprehensive evaluation will be given to the treatment facility from one of our team members to further assist the facility & treatment staff. If your loved one only has 30-60 days for treatment, it is essential the treatment staff has the historical background of the client (your loved one) in order to cut through the garble they are often fed by the loved one. The Intervention Team, as part of the Dualistic Approach, is the only intervention service in the nation that can and does provide a clinical report to the treatment center staff to further assist them in helping your loved one.

A debriefing with the family after the loved one is in treatment. After the intervention, many family members form a type of “buyer’s remorse.” They worry if they really did the right thing and they are concerned about their family member’s well-being while in treatment. Some even begin to contemplate going to the treatment center and picking their loved one back up. As part of the debriefing, our staff once again, whether in person or over the phone emphasize the importance of standing together and behind their decisions. We offer ongoing support during this time.

We will perform periodic follow-ups with the family, treatment center staff and/or loved one to provide additional support during the healing process. Many of our clients say our staff came in as interventionists but leave as part of the family. We have even had some loved ones upon entering a treatment center introduce us as their counselors, to the surprise of the staff there. Someone even told a staff member, “They are supposed to hate you guys!” Not The Intervention Team! We believe we are where the healing begins.
